Mayor Daley explains to Rahm that the Cubs stink

The Sports Minion & Sports Minette headed down to The Cell for the 2011 Chicago White Sox home opener.  It was a great time indeed, as temperatures hit near freezing, reminding one of a typical game at the cross town Soldier Field where the Monsters of the Midway do their thing.

We saw a beautiful pitching performance from Edwin Jackson, who struck out a career-high 13 batters, surrendering only 1 run on 4 hits leading to a 5-1 victory over the visiting AL East Champ, Tampa Bay Rays. Paul Konerko and A.J. Pierzynski received the biggest ovations as Sox fans made it clear they appreciate the two leaders sticking around for possibly a few more years. Read more…

Bears will end Packers season this week

In the greatest rivalry in all of sports, yes it is Beantown.  Green Bay travels to Chicago this Sunday in a do or die match up.  You can bet this game will go down in history as one of the best between these two storied franchises.  The Sports Minion believes Lovie Smith and his Chicago Bears will win this battle and continue on to Dallas.  Let’s match it up… Read more…

Bears Will Punish Seahawks

Seattle doesn't have a chance

I’ve got to hand it to Pete Carroll, he kept his team fighting last week and led his underdog squad of misfits to victory over Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints.  Marshawn Lynch had one of the greatest runs ever seen, and Matt Hasselbeck threw for 4 touchdowns, which is double the amount he had in any game during the 2010 season.  With that being said, the Chicago Bears will dominate the Seahawks this weekend, mark my words.
